Leading trade mag SVI canvassed home entertainment dealers and installers to discover their favourite kit. But which subwoofer made the deepest impression among the pros?

Monitor Audio's frighteningly brutal bass generator, the PLW-15, has come away with the top prize in a vote by the UK's trade professionals. Leading trade journal SVI's annual awards recognise the top kit in the business, and this year our seismic masterpiece the PLW-15 emerged as 'Best Subwoofer', according to the people who regularly choose and install it for their clients.
