The flagship BX6 offers the fluid neutrality of the BX5 but brings the scale of its larger 2 1/2 way system into play. This potent configuration of twin 165mm (6 1/2") C-CAM® bass drivers, single 165mm (6 1/2") C-CAM® mid-bass driver and 25mm (1") C-CAM® tweeter adds effortless authority to a long list of BX range virtues. The drivers work in tandem with a rigid multi-chamber structure to reveal greater muscularity and refinement in music and film sound. Still, the BX6 retains the elegant room-friendly proportions of the BX5 - its deceptively compact cabinet, finished in any of the beautiful BX vinyl wood finishes, will enhance the look of any environment.

Ceramic-Coated Aluminium/Magnesium is a material originally developed by the aerospace industry for jet engine components. Its properties are ideal for loudspeaker cones being extremely rigid, yet light enough to yield high overall efficiency. In manufacture, aluminium/magnesium alloy undergoes a three-stage stress-relieving process to remove surface deformation and molecular weakness. Once formed, the alloy cone is subjected to a high temperature anodic coating process in which a layer of pure ceramic alumina is depleted onto its surfaces to a depth of 50 microns, producing a completely rigid sandwich of alloy and heat-dissipating ceramic material.
Conventional cones are liable to flex or twist in operation, producing a significant level of audible distortion. C-CAM cones have a much higher resistance to bending stress and therefore exhibit much greater fidelity over their entire operating range. C-CAM tweeters and woofers share an audible consistency producing a smooth transition of frequencies and a sense of realism and cohesion in the soundstage.
The gold dome tweeter is formed from a ceramic-coated aluminium/magnesium alloy, gold anodised to a specific thickness for ideal stiffness and damping characteristics. Its new profile and surround geometry have been developed using advanced modelling tools, to provide the optimum qualities for accurate sound reproduction. The new design moves the first order of breakup to beyond 35kHz, producing a linear response way beyond audibility, which matches the wide frequency bandwidth available from HD music and cinema sound formats.
The gold dome is thinner, lighter, more rigid and therefore more efficient than domes made from other materials which are prone to distortion in the audio band.
A new type of port technology which uses a straight rifled design to accelerate air flow and reduce turbulence. HiVe II technology has the ability to move air in and out much quicker than a conventional port, the result is fast powerful bass coupled with superior transient response.

Amazing!!!! I just bought it yesterday and still can't believe the sound of my vinyls!!! It's like starting to listen to these records for the first time!! Maybe there are better, but for sure very close to BX6!!!!

I got hold of a pair of these for £240!! I got them home and my god can they rock, got them hooked up with a 18 year old rel storm mk1 subwoofer, and they rock the house, and there only running 2 channel of a Yamaha av amp, don't know what the neighbours think!! I would definetly recommend an audition, I would definetly of payed full price for these bad boys!!! You would most definetly have to pay twice the price to find better!!

The bx6 sound surprisingly good at low volume with a good midrange and crisp smooth treble performance for 'budget' floorstanders, then when you turn them up that bass kicks in, can't complain at these for this reasonable price.

I went into a small local audio store and was introduced to the Monitor Bronze collection of speakers. I had previously never heard of the name, to be completely honest.
Wow, was I amazed at the sound generated from these beautiful speakers!
In terms of cost, while they're not "cheap" by any standards, they are absolutely competitive with any number of similar speakers.
While competitively priced, they're sound is beyond anything I was expecting, that's for sure!
So I left with a pair of the BX6s and the BX centre channel.
Subsequently, I've filled my system with the sub, a pair of the bookshelves, and a pair of the rear surrounds.
Everyone who comes into my home leaves absolutely knowing the name now, and they tend to be drooling.
That's all I'm saying.

I've re-discovered stereo! The stereo imaging with these speakers is amazing and I find that I keep checking my rear surrounds that they aren't playing. The setup was a cynch and I will certainly keep experimenting to squeeze the most out of them. Brilliant product MA.

I am impressed by the clean clear sound...when I first mentioned the name to my friends they weren't sure until they heard them and are now whistling a different sound.

I bought these speakers after an impressive audition at a local dealer, the clarity, detail and definition across the spectrum impressed. Now I have them at home I am delighted with the build quality and their elegance in my listening room, properly set up, with space to breath, these are a bargain buy. Excellent
Custom-developed for Monitor Audio and utilising advanced simulation technology, the new De-Tox CD will help you to run-in your speakers in less time and more comprehensively than is possible with music or other burn-in signals.
