The Range

All Monitor Audio Controlled Performance (CP) In-Ceiling and In-Wall loudspeakers feature integral back boxes. These rigid, mineral-filled enclosures provide great control over the sound quality and dispersion characteristics. The back box also contains the bass driver’s ‘back-wave’, limiting sound transmission to adjacent rooms.  Most In-Ceiling and In-Wall speakers are open-back designs allowing the wall or ceiling cavity behind the speaker to act as the speaker enclosure. We maximize the performance of Monitor Audio CP models by providing a precisely sized speaker enclosure.

Sound quality remains consistent from room to room regardless of wall or ceiling cavity size, and sound ‘spill’ into adjacent rooms is minimized. Seamless integration between all models and ranges is an important Monitor Audio design goal. That’s why all CP In-Ceiling and In-Wall loudspeakers use the same drive unit technology found in our traditional in-room loudspeakers. Mix and match all Monitor Audio’s speakers with confidence for a truly harmonious result in every room and application.
